Favorite tunes - these are the "Stolen Berries" Northern Light have collected on their long-awaited first major studio album. After the EP "Off it goes", the musical journey here once again stretches across Europe and shows that musical closeness is possible despite the geographical distance. The band effortlessly and virtuosically roams through the traditions of European folk music and combines them to something previously unheard: an old Irish poem is accompanied by Danish melodies, Swedish polskas meet Spanish muiñeiras and English songs take us all the way to the South Pole - "Stolen Berries" is a colorful basket full of the German-American band's favorite berries.

Nach der EP „Off it goes“ geht die musikalische Reise hier einmal mehr quer durch ganz Europa und zeigt, dass trotz der räumlichen Distanz musikalische Nähe möglich ist. Die Band streift mühelos und virtuos durch die Traditionen europäischer Folkmusik und kombiniert sie zu bisher Ungehörtem: so wird aus einem alten irischen Gedicht eine Weise mit dänischen Klängen, schwedische Polskas treffen auf spanische Muiñeiras und englische Lieder führen uns bis an den Südpol — „Stolen Berries“ ist ein bunter Korb voller Lieblingsbeeren der deutsch-amerikanischen Band.
